I've often hit the nail on the head And yet I was merely strangled I've often called the voice of my life And yet it was merely the past If I should see the future beaming with joy I will forgive myself Tell me the meaning of my life Tell me the meaning of forgiveness Tell me the meaning of my death And why I'm a murderer I've often dared, but defeat caught my eye So many years I believed in myself All these years without any success All these years without, like a dilettante Tell me the meaning of my life Tell me the meaning of forgiveness Tell me the meaning of my death And why I'm a murderer A whole life full of mistakes A whole life in order to resist My tears are filling up an ocean A character in a play Always the same things in my hand Tell me the meaning of my life (Of my fucking life) Tell me the meaning of forgiveness Tell me the meaning of my death And why I'm a murderer Tell me the meaning of my life Tell me the meaning of forgiveness Tell me the meaning of my death And why I'm a murderer Tell me the meaning of my life Tell me the meaning of forgiveness Tell me the meaning of my death And why I'm a murderer

The passion I once had is now the ashes in my vault I'm looking out of the window Which consists of fragments I'm going out of the door Where the axe of death passes me its hand I repress my daily routine But I tolerate it still Where is my passion I once had? I ask you 'Cause you support the guilt Where is my passion I once had? I'm too sensitive for this world The enthusiasm that I felt when I was young Is now hatred I repress it But the frustration is too strong Where is my passion I once had? I ask you 'Cause you support the guilt Where is my passion I once had? Why don't you redeem me from this torment? Give me a new life where I'll find my old passion If you don't help me, I'll manage to help myself But then I'll be victorious Where is my passion I once had? I ask you 'Cause you support the guilt Where is my passion I once had? Where is my passion? Where is my passion? Where is my passion? Where is my passion? Where is my passion? Where is my passion? Where is my paaaaaaaaaa-? Where is my passion I once had? I ask you 'Cause you support the guilt Where is my passion I once had?

about

"Nothing Right" is track #2 and the second single from our album "The Scapegoat's Agony". The album title is an allusion to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett and points towards the - for the most part - painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero.

Synopsis for "Nothing Right": Taking stock of his deeply lamentable existence so far, the unnamed antihero erupts into a harrowing scream of anguish and disbelief.

"Passion" is track #6 from our album "The Scapegoat's Agony".
This version first appeared on our second demo tape, which was recorded in February 1995.

Synopsis for "Passion":
Having rid his deeply troubled mind of any and all pestering ruminations, the unnamed antihero turns his attention to his complete and utter lack of emotional well-being.

about

Coma Beach Würzburg, Germany

Shock, chaos, pain, rage and isolation: These are the thematic cornerstones of COMA BEACH’s music. The very title of their debut album, "The Scapegoat's Agony", an ominous-sounding allusion to Samuel Beckett's literary works, already bears the haunting promise of a highly unusual experience. Lurking behind it all, there is a clear-eyed artistic vision rather than a generic punk rock album… ... more
